Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed the enforcement of his administration’s directive to revoke government lands illegally occupied or encroached upon by individuals and organizations.

Speaking to journalists after inspecting government facilities and projects, the Governor expressed dissatisfaction over the illegal occupation of state properties, particularly at the office complex of the State Agricultural Mechanization Authority in Kofare, Yola.

Fintiri, accompanied by government officials, emphasized that the government would take decisive action to reclaim and secure its properties. “In 2019, I revoked these lands, but some individuals have forcefully developed them again. We will either convert them back for government use or remove the structures entirely,” he warned.

The Governor lamented that these facilities were intended to create job opportunities for the youth but had been diverted for personal use by selfish individuals.

During the inspection, Fintiri also visited key projects, including a state-of-the-art laboratory complex at the State Specialist Hospital, the Adamawa State Health Supplies Management Agency, and the Model Primary School in Jimeta.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress of these projects, which he noted are near completion and designed to address the state’s health and educational needs.
