Adamawa State Governor, Rt Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Saturday evening expressed sadness over the death of a former Permanent Secretary and Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission Pa Sini Kwabe.
Governor Fintiri who was at the family house of the late elder statesman to commiserate with the family says “A great Adamawa son has gone home.”
Pa Sini Kwabe who retired from the Adamawa State Civil Service as a Permanent Secretary before his appointment as Federal Commissioner died on 24th January, 2024 after an illness.
“This is a very sad loss, personally for me and for every Adamawa citizen. He will be sorely missed not only by his family and associates but all who crossed his parth.
“Pa Kwabe was a hero. He was a father in the true sense of the word. We cannot write the Adamawa story without recourse to the roles that he played from the start and from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate the role that he played in building Adamawa to what it is today.”
Governor Fintiri, while commiserating with the family of the late elder statesman, urged them to uphold the ideals he stood for, saying that the nation will continue to draw inspiration from his life and times.
“His demise, just like that of our heroes past, must never be in vain. There can be no better time to unite together to achieve a better and more prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
Fintiri in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou notes that Pa Sini Kwabe paid his dues and has left his footprints on the sands of time.
The Governor used the opportunity on behalf of the government and people of Adamawa State to express his heartfelt condolences to the family on the great and irreparable loss.
He described the deceased as “A pride to our country, our state and we will surely miss him.”
Late Pa Sini Kwabe is survived by his wife Rebecca, 6 Children and 12 Grand Children.
