In line with his commitment to ensuring execution of quality projects, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State Thursday inspected ongoing infrastructure projects in Yola, initiated by his administration.
They are Mubi roundabout flyover, world class public health laboratory at State Specialist Hospital Yola, ultra modern International Sports Complex, Yola, Yola superhighway, one thousand housing units and AA Lawan flyover.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen shortly after rounding up the inspection tour, Governor Umaru Fintiri commended the contractors for executing standard projects and urged them to speed up to meet the deadline.
He said, “They projects are excellent and moving as scheduled with the standard expected of the job, for now I have to commend the contractors and I urge them again to speed up to meet up with the deadline so that they don’t slow down at any point”.
He added that the state government on its part has released funds and ensured payments for the projects which he said has informed the speedness and reiterated its commitment to the successful completion of the works.
Amidst the commencement of nationwide protests in the country, Governor Fintiri has urged the federal government to rejig welfare policies to address hunger and poverty that people are passing through.
Contrary to the speculations that the protest was sponsored by the opposition, Governor Fintiri has pointed out that it was the works of miscreants and some aggrieved persons that supported the emergence of the Tinubu administration.
Governor Umaru Fintiri says his administration will continue support the federal government as according to him if the Tinubu administration succeeds “it is our people that succeed.”
He added that “in the next five, ten years if the government continuesly commit to the well-being and welfare of the people there would be no protest and this is what we have committed ourselves to do”.
He thanked the people of Adamawa for not participating in what he described the so-called protest and urged the federal government to complement the efforts of his administration to ensuring the welfare of citizens.
“I thank the people of Adamawa for their commitment, resilience and perseverance that they did not participate in the so-called protest this is because they believe in the government, leaders and trust that we have among ourselves.
