Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has extended his warmest congratulations to Yahaya Sahabo Abubakar on his well-deserved elevation to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), representing the North East Zone.
The Governor noted that “this prestigious appointment is a testament to your exceptional leadership and dedication to the Nigeria Police Force.” Before his appointment, DIG Abubakar served as the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 14, Katsina.
Governor Fintiri also congratulated Mohammed Adamu Dankwara, another illustrious son of Adamawa, on his promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector General.
The Governor commended the Police Service Commission for recognizing their excellence and expressed hope that their elevation will significantly enhance the fight against crime in Nigeria. He charged them to leverage their wealth of experience to make a meaningful impact, stating, “I am particularly proud of your antecedents and believe in your capacity to turn around the rising insecurity situation. Make Adamawa proud, and do not compromise your positions due to the expectations placed upon you.”
Governor Fintiri urged the newly promoted officers to utilize their expertise to drive positive change and make a lasting impact on the nation’s security landscape.
