Gov Fintiri Declares 3-day Mourning Over Death Of Adamawa Lawmaker, Musa

The remains of member representing Ganye constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly Hon. Abdulmalik Jauro Musa was laid to rest in Ganye Local Government Area amidst tributes.

Late Musa breathed his last in the early hours of Friday 24th May 2024 in India after an illness and was, on Sunday, flown back to Yola and taken to Ganye for the burial.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was among hundreds of mourners that trooped to the Gangwari’s palace on Monday for the funeral prayer led by the Ganye Chief Imam, Modibbo Muhammadu Bappawa.

In his condolence greetings to Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda, and the good people of Ganye, Governor Umaru Fintiri has declared a three-day mourning in Adamawa over the passing of the state legislator.

He acknowledges that the late lawmaker will no doubt be sorely missed by not only the people of Ganye but the state at large, owing to his contributions to the development of Adamawa.

The Governor described the deceased as a true democrat who spent his life serving the state and therefore called on the bereaved family and the constituents to emulate his exemplary vatues.

He prayed to God to grant reporse to the soul of the deceased and comfort for his family, noting that death is inevitable to every mortal, and urged people to live a life consciously worthy of emulation by all.

Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for identifying with the Chiefdom at its trying moment, and prayed to God to reward him abundantly.

While in Ganye, Governor Fintiri has visited family residence of the decreased where he condoled with the bereaved mother, wife and other siblings over the passing of Hon. Jauro Musa.

Other dignitaries at the burial include the Speaker Adamawa state House of Assembly, Right Honourable Bathiya Westley, federal and state lawmakers, Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Awwal Tukur among others.

Late Jauro Musa who died at the age of 39 and left behind a mother, wife and daughter was elected as member representing Ganye Constituency in the Adamawa State Assembly in the 2023 general elections.
