Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa has assured of the state government’s willingness to partner federal institutions in the state in the interest of the students who are majorly its citizens.
The Governor stated this when he granted audience to the management of the Federal College of Education Yola who was on a courtesy visit in his office on Wednesday.
While assuring that government will continue to support the institution based on the collaboration and partnership between the state government and the college over the years
He noted that majority of Adamawa citizens are studying in the college as such government has a stake to take in the development and progress of the institution for the good of the people
The Governor congratulated the institution for being chosen to host the Nigeria College of Education Games Association, NICEGA, and the slated celebration of its golden anniversary.
He said he would send the design for the construction of modern shops by the perimeter fencing to the appropriate agency to vet and advise accordingly.
Earlier the Deputy Provost of the College, Hajiya Aisha Kadiri thanked the Governor for the enormous cooperation the college receives from the state government, saying the synergy is highly appreciated.
Hajiya Dahiru hinted the Governor of the management’s resolve to demolish and remodel the corner shops at the college’s perimeter fence to compliment governments efforts in beautifying the state.
The Director of works of the college gave a preliminary proposal of the modern shops to the Governor for consideration and approval.
