Muslim faithful have again been reminded of the importance of helping orphans and the less privileged in society.
The Chief Imam of Jama’atu Central Mosque, Nupe Road, in Kaduna State, Imam Muhammad Kamir, gave the reminder in his Friday Sermon, the 8th August, 2025.
He attributed the current hardship and insecurity to inadequate support for the orphans by the well-to-do individuals in society.
The Islamic Cleric urged the Muslim Ummah to redouble efforts in assisting the orphans and the less privileged amongst them.
Imam Muhammad Kamir noted that in many houses nowadays, orphans are neglected and suffering, describing the situation as worrisome.
He quoted a Hadith where Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said, ” The most graceful home is one where an orphan is being treated well, and the most wicked house is the one where an orphan is being maltreated.”
However, Imam Muhammad Kamir, Mal. Umar Bin Umar, and Mal. Kabiru Babasidi offered a special prayer for Governor Uba Sani, other leaders, Kaduna State, and Nigeria as a whole for peaceful coexistence and progress.
They also prayed for Hon. Sani Rabi’u Bako, who was recently appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Fiscal Responsibility Commission by Governor Uba Sani, for Allah’s guidance and protection.
The Ulamas urged Hon. Bako to use his new position to secure Aljannatul Fiddausi through fairness and justice to all.
A large number of Muslim faithful attended the Friday prayer and also joined the special prayers.
