Fintri Launches 2022 Armed Forces Emblem Fund With N15m

The Adamawa State government has launched the 2022 armed forces remembrance emblem fund with the sum of N15m.

Governor of the state, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri while making the donation in the council chamber government house, Yola reiterated his administration’s commitment to accord priority to peace enterprise in the state

Fintiri commended the security agencies for their doggedness in ensuring the peace and safety of the state.

Government according to the Governor, government will continue to give priority to peace enterprise as enshrined directly or indirectly in all his 11 points agenda.

He reassured of his administration’s determination to continue in the trajectory until all Adamawa people are safe to do their businesses without any security hitches.

Earlier in his remarks, State Head of Service, Dr Edgar Amos said the emblem appeal draws attention of people to the sacrifice made by fallen heroes in ensuring the safety of the country

While reminding all that peace is everybody’s business, Amos pointed out that it is the right time to honor the fallen heroes with words and actions through financial donations to support their families and serve as encouragement to serving officers and men.

State Chairman of legion, MWO Ali Muhammad Rtd said the fallen heroes have contributed immensely to the stabilization of peace in Nigeria and beyond hence the need for individuals and organizations to support their families.

The Chairman while appreciating support of the state government thus far appealed for more financial support from government to enable them meet the plight of widows, orphans and injured survivors.

Those who made donations include State chief judge on behalf of the judiciary; 200 thousand naira, the Secretary to the state government; a personal donation of 200 thousand naira after which the head of service on behalf of permanent secretaries offered 250 thousand naira.

The commissioners forum made a donation of 500 thousand naira, service commanders; 550 thousand naira, heads of local government service; 500 thousand naira, chairmen of boards and parastatals; 300 thousand naira among others
