Federal Poly Bali Matriculates Over 600 Students, Rector Warns

..Against Misconduct, Other Social Vices

The 14th Matriculation ceremony of the Federal Polytechnic Bali in Taraba State was held at the institution’s Library complex on Thursday, April 26, 2024. 

The ceremony marked the formal admission of 565 National Diploma and 143 Higher National Diploma students for studies during the 2023/2024 Academic Session.

During the ceremony, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Mohammed Usman, represented by the Deputy Rector, Engineer Sani Isa Abubakar, delivered a speech to the new students, advising them to focus on their studies with curiosity to achieve their desired objectives. 

The Rector encouraged the students to be diligent to thirst for knowledge, and to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and learning as they embark on their academic journey.

He emphasized that the students should seek guidance from their lecturers and avoid any form of misconduct or illegal lifestyle that could endanger their lives, as the school has a zero-tolerance policy towards any anti-social behaviors.

The Matriculation Oath was administered by the Polytechnic Ombudsman, Barrister Nickson Lawi Abanyi, to the matriculants. In addition, the S.U Jen Academic Foundation presented awards of excellence to deserving students who met the requirements of benefitting from the foundation through their outstanding performance in the last academic session.

The beneficiaries of the awards included Abdullahi Rabiu (Accountancy), Ramso Titus(BAM), Sandra Kemuka Wilfred (Public Admin), Ibrahim Dayyabu (OTM), Harisu Abubakar (Agric.Tech.), Mujiburrahman U. Ude (Animal Health& Prod.), Ibrahim Hussaini (Statistics).

Others are Mohammed A. Hamza (SLT), Ioreren Daniel (SLT), Fatima A. Muhammed (Comp. Sci.), Barde K. Mohammed (Building Tech.), Adzu Solomon Orngu (COE), Babajide B. Tajudden (Elect.Elec.), Auwal Musa (CET), and Yusuf Mohammed (ABE).
