The immediate past Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in Adamawa, Malam Bashiru Ahmad has congratulated the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri over his well deserved Supreme Court Victory.
January 31st, 2024, was indeed a historic triumph at the nation’s highest court, as Governor Umaru Fintiri emerged victorious in a legal battle filed against his election in March, 2023 by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hajiya Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani.
The Supreme Court in Abuja delivered a decisive ruling, affirming the people’s choice and solidifying Fintiri’s mandate as the governor dully elected by Adamawa electorates.
The former SSG, Malam Ahmad in a statement via this platform expressed the joy in the heart of a generality of the people in Adamawa particularly members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He pointed out that the victory of Governor Fintiri at the Supreme Court is victory for democracy because the historic judgement aligned with the popular voice of the electorates who delivered him during the 2023 polls in a landslide victory.
Malam Ahmad expressed optimism that the victory would further propel Governor Fintiri to continue his commendable efforts in steering Adamawa State towards progress and meaningful development
“This Supreme Court verdict will not only reinforce Fintiri’s mandate given by the people of Adamawa but also underscores the significance of upholding democratic principles,” said Ahmad.
He expressed commitment to supporting Governor Fintiri, ensuring that the aspirations of the people are realized to take the state to the promised land.
