The Emir of Kaura Namoda, Major Dr. Sanusi Mohammed Ahmed Asha (rtd) has solicited a timely approval of Governor Dauda Lawal for the take-off of Zamfara State College of Legal and Islamic Studies, Kaura Namoda.
The emir made the plea during the distribution of fertilizer, tillers, and other family inputs to farmers in the emirate for irrigation, performed by the state governor Dauda Lawal on Sunday in Kaura Namoda.
Major Sanusi Mohammed (rtd) who commended Governor Dauda Lawal for keeping promises and initiatives aimed at developing the state in all ramifications said the Emirate is in full support of the state Community Protection Guards (CPG) nicknamed ‘AskarawA’ recently inaugurated by the governor to augment the effort of the conventional security operatives to restore normalcy in the state.
The Emir in his remarks thanked the Governor for the allocation of over N350 million for the total renovation of General Hospital Kaura Namoda and over N200,000,000.00 for the construction of the women’s development center, in addition to the governor’s decision to total renovation of Kaura Namoda Emir’s Palace which he promised to commence this year.
The Royal father said his emirate is indebted for the kind gestures from the governor, noting that there was an ongoing overhauling of the Kaura Namoda Dam and provision of an irrigation farming site which, according to him, will in no small measure improve the food security of the state and beyond.
The monarch also recognized the effort of the governor in revamping farming activities, which he said the state’s slogan is “Zamfara State farming is our pride”.
He, therefore, urged farmers to actively support the government’s initiatives aimed at restoring the lost glory of farming in the region.
