The District Head of Tsokundi, Manu Irimiya Bako Adi, has commended Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State for approving the electrification project in the area.
Speaking in an interview, Adi expressed appreciation for the ongoing work, noting that poles have already been erected.
He urged the government to expedite the project’s completion, as residents eagerly await its benefits, particularly in boosting economic activities.
Adi Bako highlighted that Tsokundi is blessed with arable land suitable for farming rice, cassava, and other crops.
He emphasized that once the project is completed, residents will no longer need to travel long distances for electricity-dependent activities.
Also speaking, a former youth leader in the area, Manessh Yakubu Tsokundi, praised Governor Kefas for siting the project in their community, stressing that it would significantly benefit the people.
He further appealed to the governor to ensure the completion of the road project initiated by the previous administration.
Meanwhile, the site Engineer, Nuhu Haye revealed that the project is already at 90% complete.
He assured that, if resources remain available, the work will be fully completed by May.
Haye affirmed that the project is being executed to high standards and appreciated the community for their unwavering support.
As of the time of filing this report, work is still ongoing at the site.
