DG Debt Mgmt Agency, Prof Danjuma Hails Kumu of Gombi for Inclusive Leadership

Director General of the Adamawa State Debt Management Agency, Professor Ibrahim Danjuma, has commended the Kumu I of Gombi Chiefdom, His Royal Majesty Aggrey Bechour Ali, for his inclusive leadership and efforts in conflict resolution, mediation, and arbitration within the chiefdom.

Speaking during a thank-you visit to the monarch, Professor Danjuma expressed appreciation for the recent appointment of Dr. Mohammed Yero Abubakar as a councillor in the Gombi Traditional Council, representing the Hausa/Fulani community.

He noted that the inclusive decision-making style of the Kumu I has earned him respect and admiration from various communities across Gombi.

Professor Danjuma also highlighted the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence, emphasizing that the Hausa/Fulani community lauds the monarch’s commitment to fairness and harmony.

Also present at the occasion were the Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University, Professor Ibrahim Umar; the member representing Gombi Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Rufai Umar; and the Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), Dr. Murtala Umar Babayi.

They each delivered goodwill messages, commending the traditional ruler for his visionary leadership and dedication to the progress of the chiefdom.

The appointee, Dr. Mohammed Yero Abubakar, is a retired Deputy Provost of the College of Education, Hong.

His appointment as councillor has been warmly received by the Hausa/Fulani community, who expressed joy and pledged continued support for the peace and development of Gombi Chiefdom.
