Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price by N30, Unveils CNG Truck Rollout

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by N30, bringing the cost down from N850 to N820 per litre. The new price takes effect today, August 12, 2025.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by N30, bringing the cost down from N850 to N820 per litre. The new price takes effect today, August 12, 2025.

The company said the decision reflects its commitment to national development and ensuring a steady and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products nationwide.

In a further move to improve efficiency and promote sustainable energy solutions, the refinery announced plans to begin the phased deployment of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for nationwide fuel distribution. The rollout will commence on August 15, 2025.

Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, said the company remains dedicated to operational excellence while supporting the country’s transition towards cleaner energy options.
