Dangote Industries Limited has restated its commitment to boosting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Nigeria through strategic partnerships, targeted funding, and capacity-building initiatives.

Speaking during Dangote Group’s Special Day at the ongoing 2025 Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition in Lafia, the Senior Adviser to the President/CEO of the Group, Fatima Wali-Abdurrahman, emphasized the company’s unwavering support for small businesses. She was represented at the event by Hon. Dr. Shuaibu Abdullahi, Dangote’s National Assembly Liaison Lead.

Wali-Abdurrahman said Dangote Industries had partnered with critical stakeholders, including the Bank of Industry (BoI), under the Aliko Dangote Foundation, to establish a N5 billion fund dedicated to supporting MSMEs nationwide. The initiative is aimed at creating at least one million direct jobs through support to entrepreneurs in manufacturing, agro-processing, and the trade of locally produced goods.

Beneficiaries of the scheme include cassava processors, aluminum artisans, poultry farmers, vegetable vendors, calabash carvers, market women, and other micro-businesses.

She further revealed that Dangote Group’s support extends to infrastructure and training. For instance, Jakura Marble Industry Ltd. benefitted from the Group’s support in electrification. Additionally, Dangote Fertiliser Limited has launched an extensive agricultural extension service program to train over one million farmers nationwide. The training includes hands-on demonstrations, soil testing, and best practices in fertiliser use to boost crop yield and promote sustainable farming.

“Our sponsorship of trade fairs like this one organized by the Nigerian Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI) reflects our dedication to providing MSMEs with platforms to showcase their products, connect with partners, and access new markets,” she said.

She also called on both public and private stakeholders to prioritize MSME development, stressing its vital role in Nigeria’s industrialization drive.

Among Dangote Group’s participating subsidiaries at the fair are Dangote Fertiliser Limited, Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited, Dangote SinoTruck, Dangote Sugar Refinery, NASCON (Dangote Salt), and Dangote Cement Plc.
