Dan Jarma Adamawa Calls On Tinubu To Interven In Kano Emirate Dispute

A Traditional Titleholder in Adamawa State, Dan Jarma Adamawa, Dr. Mustafa Tahir LLB, BL, LLM, Ph.d has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing dispute affecting the Kano Emirate Council.

Barr. Mustafa who expressed concern on the escalating situation, made the call in an interview with newsmen on Saturday at the Emir’s palace in Kano shortly after he led a delegation of Northeast Traditional Titleholders to pay homage on the reinstated King, HRH, Muhammad Sanusi II.

Dan Jarma said since the State House of Assembly was constitutionally empowered to enact laws, he saw no reason why anyone let alone the court would question the legality of its powers on the Kano Emirate Council (repeal) bill 2024.

He therefore called on President Tinubu to interven in the Kano Emirate dispute to nip in the bud any unforseen breach of security that may occur in the State.

On the rumours making the rounds that the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu interferes in Kano Emirate crisis, Barrister Tahir described the allegation as untrue and unfounded.

He therefore appealed to the general public to disregard the rumour in totality, adding that NSA Nuhu Ribadu is a true leader and lover of peace.

The Dan Jarma thanked Nigeria’s former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Rivers State Governor, Fubara Simi, the good people of Kano State among others for their show of concern on the dispute.

The Dan Jarma, urged citizens of Kano to be calm and law abiding while calling on politicians to refrain from interference that could plunge the state into chaos.
