Condolence Visit: Jigawa State Commissioner Pays Tribute To Kano States’ Athletes

The Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture Jigawa State, Sagir Musa, has paid a sympathy visit to Kano State to condole with the government and people over the tragic death of young athletes in a road accident. 

The athletes were returning from a national sports competition held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

During the visit, Commissioner, Sagir Ahmad conveyed a condolence message from Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, to Kano State’s Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo. 

He described the incident as a great loss, affecting not only the families but also both states, as the youths represented their states with honour.

The Commissioner praised the late athletes and coaches as patriotic individuals who would be remembered for their contributions. 

He prayed for their souls’ rest and strength and patience for their families.

In response, the Deputy Governor of Kano appreciated the visit, acknowledging the tragedy’s impact on the nation. He prayed against future incidents and wished for peace and prosperity across the country.

The condolence visit underscores the solidarity between Jigawa and Kano States in times of tragedy.
