Church Service: Adamawa Restates Support To Nigeria Armed Forces

The Adamawa State Government has pledged to always stand with the Nigeria Armed forces and support it as it continues to protect the the state and the nation in its entirety.

In his goodwill message during a special Sunday service in commemoration of this year’s Nigeria Armed Forces Remembrance Day, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri thanked the Nigeria Armed Forces for their contributions to keeping the nation together.

The Governor was represented by the Chief of Staff, Dr Edga Amos Sunday during the Sunday Service held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic church, 23 Brigade, Gibson Jalo cantonment Yola.

Governor Fintiri also prayed for the souls of the fallen heroes who lost their lives while safeguarding the country.

Fintiri called on the people of the state to cooperate with the armed forces and embrace the spirit of peaceful coexistence.

In his sermon, Flight Leutenant Reverend Peter Emeali Said the Nigeria Armed Forces has been of great service to the country and will continue to do that.

Brigade Commander, 23 Armoured Brigade Yola, Brigadier General Paul Kefas Zawaya said a celebration like this called for both joy and sober reflection on the activities of the Nigeria Armed Forces as well as the civilians who stood with them in defending the sovereignty of the country in all aspects.

The vice chairman Nigerian Legion Adamawa State chapter, retired warrant officer, Zinas Tada thanked Governor Fintiri and his cabinet for supporting the Nigeria legion in the preparations of this year’s celebration.
