This significant legislation, signed on Monday, also officially recognizes the Lamido Adamawa as the Chairman of the State Council of Emirs and Chiefs, a first since the state’s establishment.

The new law is expected to strengthen traditional governance and promote inclusivity across the state. Details of the new emirates and chiefdoms will be announced soon.

This development is part of Governor Fintiri’s broader efforts to enhance governance and development in Adamawa State.

Recently, Governor Fintiri signed another significant bill, creating 83 new districts in Adamawa State, aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and reducing criminal activities.
