BASECCOH Award Best Performing Traditional Leaders, Community Resource Groups, Others On Their Commitment To Health In Bauchi

Bauchi state primary healthcare development agency has organized the 2023 annual recognition and award presentation for best performing traditional leaders, community resource groups and special awards.

The Chairman Bauchi State Emirate councils committee on Health BASECCOH and the Co – Chairman Primary health Care Alh Usman Bilyamin Othman said the event was in recognition of their commitment toward ensuring quality healthcare service delivery in the state.

The Chairman who is also the Emir of Dass added that the annual was ment to appreciate the support of development partners for over the years, which according to him the group to be awarded are the Traditional Leaders, CHIPS agents, Mama to Mama, WDC group and best performing health facilities in the state.

He therefore stress the need for continued collaboration with various agencies in the state with a view to ensure accessible and quality healthcare service delivery.

Also speaking, the state commissioner of health Dr Adamu Umar Sambo who was represented by the Director Medical services Dr Auwal Abubakar said the Bauchi state ministry of health is proud of the work been done by various stakeholders in the health sector, adding that their primary role has help in changing the narrative of health care service delivery in Bauchi state.

The Commissioner therefore commended various stakeholders in the state including the religious leaders for their efforts in ensuring that the state government has achieved it goal in improving health care service delivery.

In their submissions, the representative of National Primary health Care development agency, UNICEF, WHO Pledges their total support to the state primary health care with a view to address all the challenges affecting the health sector.

The awardees include 49 ward heads, Community resource group and special award to Women Empowerment group among others.
