Bauchi state governor senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has decleard state of emergency in Education and the Agriculture sectors.
The governor made the declaration during his inaugural speech shortly after he was sworn in as governor for second term.
The move according to Bala Mohammed will reposition the sectors which are critical to the survival and future progress of the state.
Governor Bala Mohammed said he is poised to address the prevalence of out of school syndrome, establish a sustainable template for rapid production of people with digital skills to cope with growing digital market and transform Bauchi state into a veritable destination for education tourism in the state.
He added that the education sector will create a competitive scholarship scheme in specialized areas to deserving candidates to study locally and internationaly among others.
On Agriculture, Governor Bala Muhammed said the a three year state of emergency in the sector will be termed “Our Land Our Destiny” that will revotionalize the agric value chain.
This will be processed with the allocation of land to young farmers across the three senatorial zones, establish extension services to interact and provide technical support to farmers.
Governor Bala Mohammed who rolled out his achievemets in the past four years, promised to consolidate on them for continued rapid development.
