Hon. Yau Umar Babayi, former Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has congratulated the people of Adamawa on the state’s recent strides in development.

In a passionate appeal made available to SAHEL REPORTERS, he called on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to consider siting the proposed College of Technology Innovations and Entrepreneurship Studies in Gombi Local Government Area.

Babayi emphasized Gombi’s strategic location and the absence of higher education institutions in the area as key reasons for the proposal.

He noted that establishing the college in Gombi would not only align with the government’s efforts to expand access to technology-driven and entrepreneurial education but also boost employability and stimulate economic growth in the region.

He stressed that the proposed institution would play a pivotal role in addressing the educational needs of the local population, fostering inclusive development, and closing the gap in access to quality education.

According to Babayi, equipping residents with technological and entrepreneurial skills is crucial for empowering communities and accelerating Adamawa State’s economic progress.
