Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has vowed to stand against the stealing of elections and resist bad governance, reaffirming his commitment to restoring integrity and good leadership in Nigeria.

He made the declaration on Thursday while receiving a delegation of Gombe stakeholders led by former Minister and Senator Idris Abdullahi.

Atiku decried the continued suffering of Nigerians despite the nation’s abundant resources, attributing it to bad governance. He said, “Enough is enough. Nigerians cannot continue to suffer in the midst of plenty.”

The former vice president said the coalition of opposition leaders under the umbrella of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) would work relentlessly to bring about positive change and transform the lives of the people.

He commended the quality of the interim leadership of the coalition, noting that it reflects readiness to instill integrity in the political process and provide Nigerians with the responsible leadership they deserve.

Atiku expressed further encouragement following the Gombe stakeholders’ pledge of total support and loyalty to the coalition’s decision by joining the ADC.

He recalled his role in shaping Gombe’s political history, stating, “The group reminded me that I laid the foundation for the development of Gombe when I supported the election of Danjuma Goje as governor in 2003.”
