The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Action Peoples Party (APP) hasappointed Architect. Sani Abubakar Abbas as the Interim Chairman of the party’s KadunaTState Chapter, following the approval of an Interim Management Committee to overseethe affairs of the party in the State.
This development was formally communicated to the Chairman of the Independent NationalElectoral Commission (INEC) in a letter dated 6 February 2026, the NWC-represented by National Chairman Uchenna Nnadi and National Secretary Abu Ibrahim Bosson-confirmed the new leadership structure. Alongside Arc.
Arc. Abbas, the NWC approved eightadditional members to various positions within the Interim Management Committee.
The Interim Committee is mandated to reposition, and strengthen the party’s structure acrossthe state pending final ratification by the National Executive Committee (NEC).
Speaking on the appointment, Arc. Abbas expressed appreciation to the National WorkingCommittee for the confidence reposed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to repositionAPP as the leading opposition party in Kaduna State.
In his statement, Arc.Abbas, advised the general public to be wary of recycled, corrupt leaderswho are desperately seeking power by disguising themselves as opposition figures,emphasizing that APP is the only way to go.
He further disclosed that the party has concluded arrangements to commence a statewidemembership registration exercise across all polling units in Kaduna State by mid-February 2026.
Arc.Abbas also commended His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State,Senator Dr. Uba Sani, for his efforts in securing the lives and property of citizens within thestate.
