In a bid to support the healthcare system and fulfill its corporate social responsibility, the management of Al-Huda College of Nursing Sciences, Bauchi, has donated medical equipment and consumables to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi.
The donation, which took place at the hospital premises, marks a new partnership between the two institutions aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery in the state.
Speaking during the presentation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Huda College, Alhaji Malandi Adamu Sabo Gololo, said the gesture was part of efforts to foster collaboration with ATBUTH in line with approvals granted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and the National Board for Technical Education.
Alhaji Malandi explained that the college currently runs Basic Nursing and Midwifery programmes and is in the process of securing approval for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in Nursing. He described the partnership as a milestone in the quest to enhance training and service delivery in the health sector.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, the Chief Medical Director of ATBUTH, Professor Yusuf Jibrin Bara, expressed gratitude to the college for the unprecedented gesture. He noted that although ATBUTH has existing partnerships with various institutions, Al-Huda College is the first to complement the collaboration with a donation of medical equipment and supplies.
Professor Bara assured the college of ATBUTH’s continued support and revealed plans for a courtesy visit to Al-Huda College by the hospital’s management team as a sign of appreciation and commitment to the partnership.
He commended the college’s initiative, describing it as a step in the right direction for improving healthcare service delivery in the state.
