The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has once again demonstrated its commitment to community support by distributing essential food items across Yola.

Beneficiaries included orphanages, media houses, the NYSC camp, and other organisations dedicated to supporting vulnerable groups.

The initiative reflects NEDC’s ongoing efforts to alleviate hardship and promote well-being, one community at a time, bringing smiles to the faces of those who need it most.

It could be recalled that, the NEDC, has flagged off the distribution of the food items to vulnerable persons among other groups in Yola on Thursday this week.

The Adamawa State Coordinator of the Commission, Barrister Khalifa M. Lawan, said the exercise was in line with a directive from the NEDC headquarters mandating outreach to institutions and vulnerable groups across Adamawa before the end of the year.

“We have begun the distribution of these items to key organisations that play critical roles in society,” Lawan said. “This gesture is aimed at supporting them and easing their work as they continue to serve the public and vulnerable individuals under their care.”
