The Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), in collaboration with the Ministry for Education and Human Capital Development, has entered into a strategic partnership with EIDU, a leading global education-technology organization, to enhance teaching and learning across all public basic schools in the state.
Speaking at the official sensitization event held at ADSUBEB headquarters in Yola, the Executive Chairman, Dr. Murtala Umar Babayi, described the initiative as “a landmark step in our commitment to improving the quality of education in Adamawa State.”
He reaffirmed the board’s readiness to work closely with EIDU to build teacher capacity, strengthen literacy and numeracy, and equip pupils with essential 21st-century digital skills. Dr. Babayi also appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his unwavering support for education reforms.
Representing the Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Umar Garba Pella, the Director of Basic Education noted that the partnership “perfectly aligns with the Ministry’s vision of deploying technology to transform learning outcomes and accelerate human-capital development.”
Mr. Henry Were, speaking on behalf of EIDU, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment, stating: “Every child deserves access to quality education, and we are proud to collaborate with ADSUBEB and the Adamawa State Government to make this a reality.”
Delivering the vote of thanks, Dr. Salihu Ibrahim Ateequ, Special Adviser to the Governor on Basic Education, commended EIDU’s dedication and expressed optimism about a long-lasting and impactful collaboration.
This groundbreaking partnership highlights Adamawa State’s determination to leverage innovation and global expertise to provide inclusive, sustainable, and technology-driven basic education.
