The Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), Dr. Murtala Umar Babayi, has extended warm felicitations to teachers across Adamawa State on the occasion of the 2025 World Teachers’ Day celebration, describing them as “builders of the future.”
In his goodwill message titled “Celebrating the Builders of Our Future,” Dr. Babayi expressed profound gratitude to Allah for granting teachers the privilege to witness another year dedicated to honouring their noble profession and invaluable contributions to nation building.
“Indeed, teachers are great,” he said, adding that their passion, dedication, and resilience continue to shape destinies and transform societies. “Every time the call to duty is made, our teachers rise with courage and commitment, leaving behind footprints of excellence in every classroom,” he stated.
The ADSUBEB Chairman commended the unwavering commitment of teachers in nurturing a generation of disciplined and responsible citizens, noting that the state continues to record remarkable achievements in the education sector under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Executive Governor of Adamawa State.
Dr. Babayi also congratulated Governor Fintiri on being honoured in Abuja by the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) as the Best Performing Governor in Nigeria in the area of Access, Quality, and Comprehensive Education Delivery, describing the award as a reflection of his commitment and transformative leadership in the education sector.
According to him, the recognition also underscores the collective efforts, professionalism, and dedication of teachers who remain the driving force behind every success story in Adamawa schools.
While assuring teachers of the Board’s continued support, Dr. Babayi reaffirmed ADSUBEB’s commitment to enhancing teacher welfare, promoting professional development, and creating conducive teaching environments aimed at improving learning outcomes.
He further appreciated the collaboration and leadership of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) and the Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON) for their steadfast efforts in upholding the dignity of the teaching profession.
Dr. Babayi equally acknowledged the contributions of development partners for their continued support through funding, training, and technical assistance, which he said have strengthened Adamawa’s drive toward inclusive and quality basic education.
“As we move forward, let us remain united, focused, and optimistic,” he urged. “With Allah on our side, our collective efforts will continue to yield positive transformation in the Basic Education sector of Adamawa State.”
He prayed for Almighty Allah to bless and reward all teachers for their sacrifices and dedication.
