ADC Kaduna Leadership Kicks Against Expulsion Of Party Executives

The Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned the purported expulsion of some key party officials, describing the action as null and void.

The party’s state executives alleged that the move was a desperate attempt by individuals who are not registered members of the ADC to hijack its structures at various levels.

Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha, said those claiming to be members of the ADC in the state lack valid evidence of membership at the ward, local government, or state levels.

He emphasized that the ADC in Kaduna had been built over the years through commitment and teamwork, warning that any attempt to infiltrate or destabilize the party would be resisted.

“We, the bonafide State Executives of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State, wish to address recent developments and clarify our position,” Mustapha stated.

“The purported expulsion of our key party officials is null and void. It is a desperate attempt by individuals who are not registered members of our party and who have little or no understanding of the party’s constitution.”

He reaffirmed the executives’ loyalty and solidarity to the ADC National Chairman, Senator David Mark, commending his leadership and efforts toward building a robust and formidable political movement.

The state executives further dissociated the party from any political feud involving former Governor Nasir El-Rufai and Governor Uba Sani, stressing that the ADC’s focus remains on strengthening its internal structures rather than being drawn into external political controversies.

The statement also decried the recent removal of local government chairmen allegedly orchestrated by individuals outside the party, describing the action as unconstitutional and unacceptable.

“The most recent incident occurred two days ago in Giwa Local Government Area, where our duly elected chairman was replaced by a former SDP official without consultation with our party executives,” the statement read. “This act undermines the principles and constitution of our great party.”

The Kaduna ADC executives urged members and supporters across the state to remain vigilant and committed to the party’s ideals, while calling on coalition partners to officially join the party through constitutional means.

“The era of coalition is now history. We believe unity is key to our success, and we remain committed to building a strong and united ADC in Kaduna State,” the statement added.
