Adamawa United FC Secretary, Dr. Yusuf Chidama, while receiving the donation, thanked Chief Vunobolki for this gift and promised that it would always remind the team of Chief Vunobolki’s dreams for the team.
Dr. Chidama noted that Vunobolki has been a consistent pillar of support to the club, “This is not the first time he has stepped forward, he was instrumental in ensuring our home games were hosted at Makwada Square in Numan, which also serves as a hub for the Nigeria Women’s Football League and the National League.”
He added that the donation is a wake-up call and will set a new standard for community and private sector involvement in sports development.
Team Manager, Barr. Ijamul Emmanuel Tsamdu who also commented, described the gesture as “a historic moment for the club” that the management and players will not forget.
He states that what Chief Vunobolki has done goes beyond material donation, he has injected belief, dignity, and renewed motivation into the team.
Tsamdu commended Chief Vunobolki’s unwavering commitment to sports, describing him as “a charismatic leader.”
Adamawa United is currently playing in the Nigeria National League (NNL) and is pushing to secure promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Some supporters of the club who read this paper said the donation is strategic, stressing that the equipment will spur the players to greater heights in NNL.
The items donated include 8 full sets of jerseys, 40 boundary poles, agility ladders, shin guards, corner flags, gloves, socks, and 12 match balls, among others.
Beyond the NPFL, club officials are confident that this boost will enhance their competitive edge in continental tournaments, as Adamawa United continues to dream big eyeing qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup in the near future.
As Adamawa United continues its journey in the NPFL, the donation provides both tangible assets and psychological inspiration, positioning the club for stronger league performances and continental visibility.
