The Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), Dr. Murtala Umar Babayi, has commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the successful implementation of the new national minimum wage of ₦70,000 for local government workers, with teachers as the primary beneficiaries.

Dr. Babayi, in a statement issued in Yola, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Governor, describing the wage increase as a landmark achievement that underscores the administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of teachers and grassroots workers across the state.

He revealed that many teachers have already confirmed the upward adjustment in their salaries, noting that the improved remuneration will significantly enhance their morale, productivity, and quality of service.

“This development marks a turning point in the lives of our teachers, allowing them to better support their families and rededicate themselves to their vital roles in building a brighter future for our state,” Dr. Babayi stated.
