The Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency has trained and posted 1,800 Community Health Influenzers, Promoters & and Health Service Agents, CHIPSA, to an outreach to 150 communities in Adamawa for healthcare services.
The Executive Chairman Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Suleiman Saidu Bashir disclosed this while featuring on ABC Yola Hausa sociopolitical programme”Jihar Mu A Yau” on Saturday .
The Chairman said the agency under Fintiri led administration has constructed over one hundred clinics while rehabilitation of 127 others is ongoing.
Bashir who added that Adamawa is first in payment of counterpart funds on the health sector in Nigeria, adding that it also inaugurated Word Development Committee to oversee services of the health workers and give recommendations where necessary.
He explained that the agency is distributing anti malaria drugs free to patients and give special care to pregnant woman and children below the age of five.
He added that the agency has employed more workers, explaining that one quarter of health workers in the primary healthcare clinics were employed by the incumbent administration in the state.
