Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, on his conferment of an honorary doctorate degree in Public Administration by the University of Port Harcourt.
In a statement issued in Yola, Dr. Bashir described the recognition as a testament to Governor Fintiri’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to human capital development, especially in the health and education sectors.
“This honour is not only well-deserved but timely,” Dr. Bashir said. “It reflects Your Excellency’s relentless dedication to transforming governance into a tool for social progress and public well-being, particularly through strategic investments in primary health care systems across Adamawa State.”
According to the Executive Chairman, the Fintiri-led administration has recorded unprecedented progress in revitalizing primary health care services, ensuring that quality and accessible healthcare reach even the most remote communities in the state.
He noted that under Governor Fintiri’s leadership, the Primary Health Care Agency has received robust support in areas such as health infrastructure, maternal and child health initiatives, immunization coverage, and human resource development.
“Your Excellency has demonstrated that true leadership is about impact, not noise. You have put the needs of the people first, and the results are visible across every local government in Adamawa State,” Dr. Bashir added.
While congratulating fellow honourees at the University of Port Harcourt’s Golden Jubilee and 35th Combined Convocation, Dr. Bashir reaffirmed the commitment of the entire ADSPHCDA to continue aligning with the Governor’s development agenda, particularly in achieving universal health coverage and improving public health outcomes.
