By Muhammad B. Muhammad

Voters in Lamurde, Guyuk and Shellegn local government areas have vowed to deliver the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in the forthcoming council polls, slated for this Saturday in Adamawa State.

They revealed this separately when the campaign train of the PDP stormed the areas on Wednesday as part of the party’s tour to canvas for votes from the electorate across the State.

Bimas Bello, Danjuma Light, and Victoria Pwanaka who are party leaders in Lamurde noted that it would be ungrateful, if they fail to deliver the PDP at the polls, saying their areas have benefited much in the Fintiri administration.

On their part, Bizain Wilson, Ayina Peter and Haromi Shalom appealed to the youth in Guyuk to make their number count and commended Governor Fintiri for empowering women and youths in their area and environs.

Alh. Adamu Buba Kiri, and Abubakar Isa among other stakeholders in Shelleng threw their weight behind the determination of Governor Fintiri to ensure deepening democracy in Adamawa state.

While commending Governor Fintiri for completing the Shellegn road, the party stakeholders unanimously pleaded with the state government to asphalt the road which they believe will make the project last longer.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of the PDP, Barrister Tahir Shehu described the party Flag bearers in the three local government areas as people of proven integraty and asked people to vote them for a remarkable development.

He particularly urged the people of Guyuk to disregard the alleged certificate forgery against the Guyuk PDP candidate, saying the allegation was false, fabricated by mischief makers to incite voters against the candidate.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri represented by the Speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley called on the people to vote for PDP candidates to accelerate development in their respective areas.

He urged the voters in Lamurde, Guyuk and Shellegn to commit trust in the PDP, saying the party has a clear blueprint for the well-being of people as demonstrated by his administration across the nooks and crannies of the state.

During the rallies, the PDP State Chairman Barrister Shehu presented flags to the chairmanship candidates of the party in the areas that include Bulus Daniel of Lamurde, Kassah Shalom of Guyuk and Abubakar Musa Abba of Shellegn.
