Adamawa LG Election: ADSIEC Trains Adhoc Staff

In its determination to conduct credible, free, fair and acceptable LG polls come July 13th, the State ADSIEC has organized one day training for Local Government election Adhoc Staff in the state.

The training of the election Adhoc Staff came few days after the commission trained LG Electoral Officers and their Assistants ahead of the July 13th Local Government elections.

The LG election which was scheduled to hold few weeks ahead, the State Independent Electoral Commission is living no stone unturned in ensuring that all necessary measures are put in place in order to ensure a hitch free exercise across 21 LGAs of the state.

While responding to questions from journalists after supervising the training exercise in Yola North and Yola South, the State ADSIEC Chairman Umar Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the exercise.

He revealed that base on the reports he received so far from the LGAs across the state, the training exercise has achieved its purpose.

He however, expressed displeasure with the laxity of Yola South Electoral Officer, when the team visited, having failed to meet up with the schedule, saying that the commission has taken disciplinary action to ensure he sit up.

He gave assurances of the commission’s readiness to ensuring that the right thing is done in order to have a credible and hitch free election exercise.
