The Adamawa State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Alh Ibrahim Yayaji Mijinyawa, has congratulated the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his victory in the Supreme Court judgment that affirmed his election on Wednesday.
The apex court had upheld the decisions of the state Election Petitions Tribunal and the Appeal Court, affirming the state governor.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday, Alh Mijinyawa said the world had acknowledged that Governor Fintiri was the winner of the 2023 gubernatorial election in Adamawa State.
He said the affirmation of Fintiri’s election was a testimony that he was the popular choice in the state, assuring that his epic victory in the apex court would mean a lot to the development of the state.
The Commissioner assured the people of Adamawa that the Governor would fulfill his campaign promises in a bid to reposition the state on the pedestal of development.
He emphasised that the state government would continue to deliver gigantic projects for the betterment of the state.
