Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has expressed commitment to fully engaging Adamawa State in digital skills transformation to drive innovation and economic development.
The Governor aims to position Adamawa among the top 10 states with the most robust Information Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure by 2025.
In a meeting with the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Telecommunications Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida, Governor Fintiri reiterated his commitment to making Adamawa a leader in digital skills development.
This aligns with the Adamawa 2.0 vision, focusing on e-governance, ICT infrastructure, digital skills development, and job creation.
The state’s collaboration with the NCC will prioritize broadband expansion, digital skills programs, and ICT resource centers.
Governor Fintiri has signed the Adamawa Information Technology Development bill into law, demonstrating his commitment to digital transformation.
Dr. Maida praised Adamawa’s bold step towards a digital future, citing the Adamawa 2.0 initiative as a shining example.
He applauded Governor Fintiri for waiving Right of Way to telecommunications companies, accelerating broadband infrastructure deployment.
Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Awal Tukur, highlighted Governor Fintiri’s infrastructure development efforts.
Special Adviser on ICT, Dr. Ahmed Hammajam, noted significant progress in realizing the Adamawa 2.0 digital transformation agenda.
