Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reaffirmed his commitment to creating a more business-friendly environment in Adamawa State, announcing the acquisition of 20,000 hectares of land to build modern infrastructure, including a building materials market as part of wider market reforms.

The Governor made this known when he received Igbo residents of Adamawa State at the Government House, Yola, during a courtesy visit.

Fintiri described the Igbo as “at home in Adamawa,” pledging to continue building an inclusive state where all residents are free to pursue their lawful activities.

He praised the community for their consistent support for his administration, describing them as people true to their word.

He further disclosed that government appointments are being reviewed to include more members of the Igbo community.

Preaching the message of unity and “One Nigeria,” Governor Fintiri urged all citizens to rise above primordial sentiments and work together for peace and development.

In his remarks, the Eze Indigbo of Adamawa, Chief Godwin Ominaka, said the Igbo community across the state came together to appreciate the Governor for his purposeful leadership and the cordial relationship between government and the Igbo people. He assured the Governor of their continued loyalty and support.

Also speaking, the President General of the Igbo Cultural Association in Adamawa, Chief Emmanuel Aneke, hailed Governor Fintiri as a “messiah” who has restored the lost glory of the state and championed a new Adamawa.

He commended the Governor for making the state peaceful and conducive for business, for running an inclusive government, and for positioning Adamawa as an investors’ destination.

Chief Aneke added that the Igbo community remains dedicated to contributing to the growth and development of the state in all spheres.
