Adamawa Govt Upgrades 12 Markets To Enhance Economic Drive

The Adamawa State Government, led by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has been praised for its efforts in upgrading 12 markets across the state.

The Adamawa State Government, led by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has been praised for its efforts in upgrading 12 markets across the state.

The Commissioner for Ministry of Livestock and Aquaculture Development, Alhaji Tijjani Atiku Maksha, commended the Governor for providing infrastructure at the markets, which includes warehouses, offices, police stations, solar-powered boreholes, toilets, drainages, and fencing.

During a tour of the upgraded markets, Commissioner Maksha expressed his delight with the quality of work done by the contractors.

He emphasized that the government is committed to making people self-reliant and encouraged citizens to engage in farming and livestock activities.

Maksha also appealed to citizens to support the government in revenue generation to enable the implementation of its policies and programs.

The Executive Chairman of Mubi South Local Council, Honourable Hamidu Adamu Jingi, thanked the Governor for upgrading the grains and cattle markets in Mubi.

The Head of Markets in Mubi North, Alhaji Abdullahi Saidu, described the infrastructural development as timely and expressed the beneficiaries’ readiness to support the Fintiri-led administration.

The Chairman of the Board of ADAS-P, Alhaji Kashim Njidda, charged the beneficiaries to take responsibility for the infrastructure for the betterment of all.

The upgraded markets include Mubi grains and livestock markets, Gombi livestock market, and Song cattle market, among others.
