…Adamawa Governor Reaffirms Commitment to Healthcare Development
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the health and well-being of the people of Adamawa State.
Governor Fintiri made this declaration during the official handing over ceremony of Cottage Hospital Hong and General Hospital Mubi to the Federal Medical Centres, held at the Government House in Yola.
Represented by his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, the Governor expressed his appreciation for federal government policies that benefit Adamawa State.
The Governor thanked the federal government for providing health services to the people and stressed that his administration is working tirelessly in all aspects of life.
He also requested that Adamawa indigenes be employed to manage the institutions.
According to the coordinating Minister of State for Health, Professor Muhammed Ali Pate, the ceremony marked the end of a two-year journey to expand the benefits of the health sector and increase services in Adamawa State.
The Minister noted that the facilities would benefit not only the people of Hong and Mubi but also the entire Northeast region.
The Minister expressed gratitude to Governor Fintiri for allowing the ministry to take over the hospital.
Chief Felix Tangwami, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, stated that the handing over ceremony was part of the expectations of the Adamawa State Government.
