The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved N1.7 billion for the furnishing of the newly constructed State High Court Complex A and B and the construction of a multipurpose hall at one of the complexes.

During a press briefing after the council meeting, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi, stated that the projects were awarded in April 2024 by the state government.

He added that the contract was awarded to Logic Build Nigeria Limited, which is expected to deliver high-quality, state-of-the-art furniture for the two complexes.

In a related development, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr. Ishaya Dabari, disclosed that the council approved over N190 million as compensation for individuals whose buildings will be affected by the ongoing construction of the Jimeta Ultra-Modern Shopping Complex.

On his part, the Commissioner for Sports, Barrister Wali Yakubu, announced the reactivation of the Governor’s Cup, which is set to take place from February 16, 2025, at the Federal College of Education, Yola.

The today’s state executive council meeting was presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Council Chambers Government House, Yola.
