The Adamawa Emirate Council has officially approved the conferment of the traditional title “Dan Maliki Adamawa” on Dauda Alhaji Saidu.
According to a letter dated 9th May 2025 and signed by the Secretary of the Emirate Council, the conferment takes effect from the 8th of May, 2025.
The decision followed Saidu’s application for the traditional honor, which the council favorably considered.
The letter noted that Dauda Alhaji Saidu is to notify the Council once he is ready for the turbaning ceremony.
“Whilst congratulating you for the well-deserved conferment,” the letter concluded, “please accept His Royal Highness’s esteemed regards.”
The title “Dan Maliki Adamawa” is one of prestige and responsibility, symbolizing trust, service, and recognition within the Adamawa traditional structure.
Further details on the turbaning ceremony are expected to be announced in due course.
