The Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, alongside the Commissioner for Works and Energy Development, Adamu Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday inspected the Lamido Aliyu Mustafa Flyover in Jimeta to ascertain the root causes of the recent flooding in the area.

The inspection, which also had the Chief of Staff, Government House, Dr. Edgar Sunday Amos, in attendance, aimed at developing lasting solutions to prevent a recurrence of the recent flood incident in the area.

They were accompanied by the Permanent Secretary (Works Segment), Engr. Sulaiman Muhammad Digil, and key directors from the ministry.

The team assessed structural and drainage issues that may have contributed to the flooding.

Commissioner Adamu Atiku Abubakar commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his concern for the welfare of residents and assured that remedial measures would be implemented promptly to safeguard the community.
