Adamawa Chief Judge Tasks Judicial Staff On Professionalism

In an effort to ensure an efficiently robust temple of justice in Adamawa, the state Judiciary has organized a workshop for enhanced professional practice for the Upper Area Cout Judges and Magistrates.

Tagged “Annotation of Administration of Criminal Justice Practice Direction, twenty twenty four”, the seminar held at Nyakor Centre, state Secretariat, Yola.

In a keynote address, the state Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman charged the participants to uphold professional ethics in their practice.

She explained that the practice direction is meant to streamline, judicial practice processes, reduce delays and ensure justice is served timely and fairly.

Justice Abdulrahaman maintained that the target of the practice direction was to protect the interest and fundamental rights of the defendants, litigants, witnesses and the society at large.

The Chief Judge challenged the participants to as ministers in the temple of justice to play a vital role by ensuring that justice and equity are accessible to all.

Facilitator at the seminar, Justice Felix Daniel Nzarga who dwelled on the Overview of the Administration of Criminal Justice Practices Direction, twenty twenty four, cautioned the participants against judicial malpractice and aberration in their professional roles.

Also observed at the meeting were Indepth Analysis of key provisions and annotations, anchored by Justice Samuel Kyanson as well as practical session on applying the direction in Criminal Cases.
