The Adamawa State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has extended its deepest condolences to the victims of recent Yola market fire disaster.
The unfortunate event which took place on 15th April 2024, around midnight hours left shop owners counting their loses.
The State CAN Chairman Rev’d Dr. Joel Manzo, in a statement expressed sadness over the tragic event which significantly left a profound impact on the entire Yola community and the state at large.
“During this time of immense grief and hardship, the church thoughts and prayers are extended to all the individuals and collective family businesses that are affected by this calamity.
“The painful experiences encountered as a result of the destruction of livelihoods and property is deeply felt by us all, and we stand united in solidarity with you during this trying period,” says the statement.
He called on the body of Christ to identify with the victims in the spirit of unity as the entire community navigates through aftermath of the tragedy.
The chairman added that “Let us not only mourn the losses incurred but also rally round our neighbors in need, offering a helping hand, comfort and hope for their future endeavors”.
He said CAN in the state is solidly behind the victims and the entire Yola community in their trying moment.
