Fifteen thousand (15,000) patients across various urban and rural communities are expected to receive free medical services, including major and minor surgeries as Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, Senator (Rev) Binos Dauda Yaroe, embarked on a 4-day mega medical outreach in Demsa LGA of the State.

To keep the ball rolling in his quest to continuing with the provision of free medical services to his constituents, the Senator saw the need to bring health services to people’s doorsteps aimed at improving and enhancing the wellbeing of his constituents.

The People’s Senator wasted no time in meeting the plights of the people of Adamawa South in his renowned and famous health service crusade, where fifteen thousand (15,000) patients are expected to get quality medical services.

The flagging off of the free mega medical outreach, which was held at Demsa Cottage Hospital on Thursday, had attracted benefitting patients from every nook and cranny of Numan Federation and beyond who are receiving various medical services free-of-charge.

Addressing the mammoth crowd at the flagging off ceremony, Senator Binos Yaroe pointed out that this is the third free medical outreach that he embarked in Demsa LGA, where he thanked the inhabitants of Demsa for giving him unwavering support and cooperation whenever he embarks on programmes in the area.

According to the lawmaker, he has taken it upon himself and by the grace of God Almighty that he would be providing free medical outreaches within his ability to ensure his constituents get free medical services at their doorsteps.

Senator Binos said that he was elected to serve and to be served, hence he would ensure the people of Adamawa South taste the sweet fruits of democracy dividends.

In his words, “I know the value and importance of health because I was sick last December. I know what it takes to be healthy. Which is why I don’t take it lightly the health conditions of my constituents. Those who criticize me for embarking on free medical outreaches won’t know the value of health until they are sick”.

Senator Binos used the medium to commend Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for constructing nine (9) modern new cottage hospitals across the State with state-of-the-art facilities.

The Adamawa South Senator said that he is committed and determined to enhancing the health status in his constituency, hence he would not relent in providing free medical services to the people.

He called on relevant authorities to prioritize primary healthcare by ensuring not only structures are put in place, but manpower that would utilize facilities for the benefit of the masses.

Senator Binos appreciated Hama Batta, HRM. Humon Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke, for taking his time to grace the flagging off ceremony.

He pointed out, “One thing about this medical outreach is that all people are entitled to benefit. When you come, nobody will ask you your religion or tribe, where you come from or the political party you belong to. The free medical outreach is meant for everybody, even those outside this constituency”.

While appreciating the unflinching support of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in ensuring the free medical outreach is successful, Senator Binos thanked Demsa Local Government Council (LGC), Batta Traditional Council and the people of Demsa LGA as a whole for the support and cooperation being given to him at all times.

Senator Binos expressed gratitude to Prof. Michael Misauno and the entire medical team for their commitment to providing quality medical services to the inhabitants of Demsa and environs.

In his remarks, the Adamawa State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Hon. Felix B. Tangwami, commended Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe for having keen interest in the Health Sector, adding that providing quality healthcare system is one of the topmost priorities of Fintiri-led Administration.

Represented by the Principal Medical Officer (PMO) of Demsa Cottage Hospital, Dr. Pongri Haniel Mivanyi, the Health and Human Services Commissioner pointed out that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has invested hugely on Health Sector, where he called on the people of Adamawa State to rally round and support the Governor to enable him serve them better.

He stated, “The Adamawa State Government has held the Health Sector in high esteem, which is why Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe has to be commended for enhancing and improving the heath conditions of the people cut-across all walks of life”.

Also speaking, the Team Lead Consultant, Prof. Michael Misauno, hailed Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe for his commitment to providing free medical services to his constituents, where he called on the Senator not to be distracted by critics who have been trying to pull him down.

He encouraged the Senator, “You are doing what God has assigned you to do for the wellbeing of your people. Don’t be distracted by what the critics are saying. The most important thing is that you are doing what is right for the betterment of your people”.

Prof. Misauno commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for putting on structure in Demsa Cottage Hospital that housed medical equipment of teaching hospital standard, adding that the facility in the cottage hospital has facilitated their work.

He pointed out that in the history of Nigeria, Senator Binos Yaroe is the only politician that embarked on free medical outreaches on countless occasions, adding that dental, eye problems, surgeries of various ailments, consultations and other medical services would be rendered for free during the 4-day outreach.

According to the medical expert, medical personnel came from 12 States of the Federation including Abuja, Jos, Taraba and Gombe States among others for the purpose of the outreach, hence people should expect quality healthcare service delivery.

In his remarks, the Hama Batta, HRM Homun Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke, thanked Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe for embarking on yet another free mega medical outreach in his domain, where he described the Senator as man of the people.

The traditional leader commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for constructing Demsa Cottage Hospital and equipped it with state-of-the-art facilities, where he prayed for the successful completion of the medical outreach.

While calling on his subjects to be law abiding and promote peaceful coexistence, the Hama Batta commended Binos Medical Team for carrying out medical services professionally.

In the words of His Royal Majesty, “I have been to all the wards and seen how people were successful operated upon. I believe many people will keep coming to take advantage of the free medical outreach. I have seen many complicated cases that have been treated here. Thank you Senator Binos for this gesture”.

In his submission, the Outreach Coordinator, Dr. Jama Medan, said that no fever than fifteen thousand (15,000). people are expected to receive free medical services, adding that people are cooperating with the health personnel.

He appreciated the efforts of the Fintiri-led Administration in improving the Health Sector in the State, noting that the staff of the cottage hospital are committed and supportive to Binos Medical Team towards effective health service delivery.

Dr. Jama called on the sick residents of Demsa LGA and the inhabitants of the rural communities within and outside the Numan Federation to take advantage of the free medical outreach and avail themselves in order to be treated free-of-charge.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Principal Medical Officer (PMO) of Demsa Cottage Hospital, Dr. Pongri Haniel Mivanyi, thanked Senator Binos Yaroe for seeing the need to re-visit Demsa for another round of free medical outreach for the wellbeing of the people within and outside the LGA.

He said that one good thing about Binos Free Medical Outreach is that all people benefit irrespective of religion, tribe or political party. He commended Senator Binos for his commitment and determination to improving the wellbeing of his constituents.

While thanking Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for providing state-of-the-art facility in Demsa Cottage Hospital, the PMO called on all hands to be on deck to support the Fintiri-led Administration to enable it serve the masses better.

Before the flagging off ceremony, Senator Binos Yaroe paid homage to the Hama Batta at his palace, where he appreciated the Royal Father for his consent to embark on the medical outreach in his domain.

He told the traditional leader that he was in his palace to seek fatherly blessings and to thank him and the people of his domain for their support and cooperation at all times.

Responding, the Hama Batta, HRM Homun Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke, who described health as wealth, commended Senator Binos for embarking on such priceless project.

The Royal Father encouraged the lawmaker not to relent on his quest to reaching out to his constituents, where he prayed for Senator Binos to be guided and protected by God Almighty as he provides democracy dividends to his constituents.

A cross section of the benefitting patients, who spoke with Journalists shortly after they were treated, could not hide their joy. They thanked Senator Binos and prayed God Almighty to grant him the desires of his heart.
