As the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League gets underway, Adamawa United FC, on Monday, unveils its new jersey (home and away) for the season.
The unveiling, the first of its kind in the state, was done by the chief of staff to the Governor, Dr. Edgar Amos, at the conference hall, Government House, Yola.
Represented by the State Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development, Barrister Wali Yakubu, Dr Amos, said the unveiling is a statement that the state government is committed to giving the club all necessary assistance for the club to succeed.
“As a government, it’s our desire to see the club get promoted to the elite division and some of our players get national call-ups and even get European clubs”
“We are committed and we will give you all you need to bring back the lost glory in football in Adamawa,” he added.
The club also gave sign-on fees to all the newly registered and old players of the club.
Earlier, the chairman of the club, Mr. Bulus Daniel, said the management’s gesture is to spur the players to greater heights in the game.
He commended the governor, Ahamadu Umar Finitri, for giving the management all the needed support. “I urge you (players) to make good use of this opportunity”
There were goodwill messages from stakeholders in the state, including the Director of the Sports Council, Super Falcon Head coach, Technical Advisor of the team, as well as the Secretary of the club, Dr. Yusuf Chidama, and the captain of the club, Edward Elam.
