Security, Healthcare, Empowerment, Agriculture Are My Priorities – Bali Chairman-Elect- Hon Balasa

The newly elected Chairman of the Bali Local Government Council of Taraba State, Hon. Habila Bala Balasa, has pledged to complement the efforts of Governor Agbu Kefas and relevant security agencies to address the rising security challenges in the area.

Balasa, who pledged while speaking to newsmen about his victory in last Saturday’s poll, also promised to focus on women and youth empowerment, as well as healthcare and agriculture.

He described security as the foundation of development, promising to collaborate with the security agencies and provide them with the necessary support to ensure that the people of the local government sleep peacefully with their two eyes closed.

The chairman-elect appealed to the residents to support his administration with prayers and cooperation, noting that with unity and prayers, all challenges would be surmounted.

Hon. Balasa expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God for what he described as a remarkable and life-changing moment, adding that the victory was made possible through the unwavering support and confidence reposed in him by the good people of the Bali Local Government Area.

Balasa emerged victorious with a total of 118,416 votes.

He further promised to reunite all the stakeholders in the area and urged those who may be unhappy with the outcome of the election to accept it in good faith and put hands on deck to move the local government forward.

He extended heartfelt appreciation to Governor Agbu Kefas, for his trust and for allowing him to serve, pledging his undoubted loyalty.

Additionally, Balasa acknowledged the consistent support and mentorship of the two lawmakers representing Bali at the Taraba State House of Assembly, the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Hamman Adama Abdullahi, and Hon. Veronica Alhassan, whom he referred to as his principals and pillars of strength.

He commended the Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission (TSIEC), security agencies, and residents of Bali for ensuring that the entire election process was peaceful, transparent, and well-coordinated.

Before venturing into politics, Hon. Habila Bala Balasa had served for several years as a teacher and principal in various schools across the Bali Local Government.
