Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has entered into a partnership with Origin Group Nigeria, an agro-food systems company, to strengthen the agricultural sector and create employment opportunities for the teeming youths of the state.

Governor Fintiri, after a closed-door meeting with the Chairman of the company, Prince J. Samuel, at the Government House, Yola, on Tuesday, assured that his administration would continue to create an enabling environment to attract and retain investors in the state.

He further pledged to provide Origin Group with every incentive required to operate in a safe and supportive environment that would encourage the company to establish permanent operations in Adamawa.

In his remarks, Prince J. Samuel expressed delight at the opportunity to invest in Adamawa, which he noted has been rated as the third-safest state in Nigeria.

He commended the Governor’s efforts in prioritizing agriculture and making significant investments in the sector.

According to him, once operations commence, the company will focus on four key areas: the cultivation of 25,000 hectares of land, partnership with the state on input support funding, the development of tomato farming, and the promotion of value chains with high potential in the agricultural sector.

Prince Samuel added that with the Governor’s commitment and private sector support, Adamawa people should expect massive agricultural investments that will spur economic development and youth empowerment.
