On the 21st of May 2025, a powerful message of accountability echoed through the halls of ADSUBEB in Yola, as the Code of Conduct Bureau held an ethics and integrity training for staff of the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board.
The training, designed to strengthen transparency in the basic education sector, was met with strong support from the Board’s leadership.
Representing the Executive Chairman, Dr. Murtala Umar Babayi, was Honorable Adiel Kurdah, Permanent Member I.
In his remarks, he applauded the initiative and emphasized that the session would deepen staff understanding of their roles while reinforcing a culture of openness and accountability.
Permanent Member II, Dr. Aliyu Sa’ad, also praised the Code of Conduct Bureau for its commitment to ethical governance.
He described the training as a timely intervention that promotes integrity and responsible leadership within the public education system.
Delivering the keynote lecture, Mr. Justine F. Choon highlighted three core objectives: educating staff on ethics and integrity, familiarizing them with the Bureau’s guidelines, and promoting transparency and accountability in their service to the public.
The training marks a significant step forward in embedding a culture of integrity within ADSUBEB and sets a new standard for ethical conduct in Adamawa State’s education sector.
